The new and improved Mk.V 5" fret saw. Now stronger, with improved blade clamps. The new clamps have witness holes, so you can see the back of the blade to make sure you've really grabbed it. The extra length in the clamps also gives the clamps more to hold on to, for improved grip. The new witness hole lets sawdust drop out of the bottom of the clamps, to keep them grabbing solidly. The frames now have the same triangulated truss design that makes the Mk. IV saws so much stronger. A major improvement over the older MK. III design.
The screw tension saw was the origin of the Knew Concepts Fret saw line. It is the economy model. It provides extremely precise blade tensioning simply by turning the knurled tension nut at the top of the frame.

We now offer custom laser engraving on all our saws. We are working on an online system to allow you to lay out your custom design personally, but for now, contact us directly before placing an order, and we'll do it by hand.
There are two possibilities: 1) use a standard Mk. V frame, which has a small area above the handle side clamp on both sides that is engravable. There's enough room for a name, or a school ID tag there. That can be done for $10. There are also custom frames that have the first two windows above the handle blanked out to give lots of room for a larger inscription, or graphics. That adds $20 total. Either version can be done on one or both sides, and the two sides can be different.
