Adjustable tilting bench pin. This is the tilting bench pin that is at the heart of our die saw. It fits onto a standard dovetail, and can be tilted to 45 degrees in either direction. This allows you to hand cut at any particular angle you need. It has a protractor built in, so you can see what angle you're set to, without guessing. It also comes with a 'speed wheel' to set it for popular die cutting angles quickly.
The bench pin itself is solid stainless steel, so that if you accidentally cut into it, the sawdust won't contaminate your sweeps. If you're a woodworker and have no idea what we're talking about, be grateful. Your sawdust isn't literally made of gold or silver. Jeweler's is, and they collect it to melt down and reuse. Unfortunately, aluminum reacts badly with silver when melted, and wrecks the batch. Which is why the parts of our gear that could get cut and into the sweeps are stainless, rather than cheaper aluminum.
