There are 7 different kinds of blade in this pack: FIX, SPEED, ULTRA, PEBECO, PENGUIN SILVER, PENGUIN GOLD and PENGUIN GOLD NEW SPIRAL - 6 blades each in size 5
The "FIX" blades are skip-toothed, with wide gullets to help clear sawdust from thicker material. They also have set teeth, which is unusual in small blades like this.
The "Speed" blades have even wider gullets, for even more clearance, but are best for thicker stock. They also have a few reversed teeth at the end to reduce tearout, but no set.
The "Ultra" blades have a 3 tooth reverse pattern, so every third tooth is reversed, with a thinner blade. No set.
The "Pebeco" blades have wide gullets, but not as wide as the fix or speeds. So they clear sawdust well, and are better for thinner stock. No set.
The "Penguin Silver" blades have a 'two teeth then a gap' pattern for good sawdust clearance, and better results on intermediate thickness stock. They also have set teeth.
The "Penguin Gold" & "Penguin Gold-New Spiral" are spiral toothed blades, which will cut in all directions, while leaving a wider kerf. The 'New Spirals' have a slightly tighter spiral, and are better for thinner stock.
This variety pack lets you experiment to see what kind works best for you, or keep different sized blades on hand for different projects.
